Monkey Island Estate is a wedding day with everything - a church service, a stunning marquee, and the River Thames running right through the middle of it all. It's the kind of setting that gives you real variety across a single day: the quiet formality of a church ceremony, the sweep of guests arriving somewhere entirely different, and the golden, relaxed atmosphere of a marquee reception as evening sets in.
One wedding here stands out in particular: after the church service, guests travelled to the estate by steam boat along the Thames - a genuinely magical way to move a wedding day from one chapter to the next. The bride's ball gown was pure drama against the water, and the flower arch waiting at the marquee was one of the most striking I've photographed - an incredible frame for the day's first moments as a married couple.
